Those were wonderful times, when our gang of friends would gather in a small studioto DJ, make music, listen to rap, and meet amazing, creative people. For me, it was a place of power — a place where I could be with my best friends, soulmates, and colleagues, or simply spend time alone. You could shut the doort here and forget about time, problems, and the outside world. I adored the moments when we came together to think about how to make our studio better, discuss strategy, and share our successes or failures. And the parties we threw there for friends were the warmest and most joyful I’ve ever had.

After the full-scale invasion, I moved to Berlin. Amid constant shelling and undercurfew, the studio grew increasingly empty. One of the founders of Selection Room took up arms on the front lines and laid down his life defending Ukraine. After that terrible tragedy, the decision was made to close our small recording studio in Shuliavka.
I still can’t believe this is real. The best place in the world, with the best people, no longer exists. My heart aches. Eternal memory to the hero KLMTS!
